The SEAN BOUTILIER ACADEMY OF DANCE was established in 1983. In a very short period of time it gained the reputation of being one of the more recognized Cecchetti based schools in the country for training students of all ages and levels of ability, in the discipline of dance.

The Academy offers classes in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop Lyrical, Tap, Acrobatic, and Pilaties. In 1991 it received recognition for its high standard of training from the government and became a Registered Educational Institution. Whether teaching an appreciation and love for dance or the professional dancers and teachers of tomorrow, the Academy keeps each individual’s goals in mind. Many of our students have gone on to continue their training in dance and related studies at such other highly recognized institutions as The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, L’Ecole Superieure De Danse Du Quebec, The National Ballet School, Ryerson Polytechnic University and York University, as well as several international schools and dance companies of world class status.

The philosophy of the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance has always been to offer the very best in teaching staff and facilities to our students. Our fully accredited teachers have years of professional experience in teaching recreational students, as well as some of the most prominent professional names in the dance world today. This very impressive staff is made complete with some of the most talented and sought-after pianists in the dance community.

Over the years, the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance has developed a very extensive repertoire of classical and contemporary Ballets, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical and Acrobatic works for its year end performances. Guest artists from the National Ballet of Canada, and as far away as Russia and Hong Kong have performed along with the students of the Academy. All of these factors have contributed in making the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance one of the highest quality dance schools in the country
