The SEAN BOUTILIER ACADEMY OF DANCE Etobicoke location was established in 1983 and in 1993 our Mississauga location was established. In a very short period of time the studios gained the reputation of being one of the more recognized Cecchetti based schools in the country for training students of all ages and levels of ability, in the discipline of dance. We have been recommended by the Ministry for Cultural Affairs as a quality dance studio.

The Academy offers classes in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop Lyrical, Tap, Acrobatic, Musical Theatre, Highland and Pilaties. In 1991 it received recognition for its high standard of training from the government and became a Registered Educational Institution. Whether teaching an appreciation and love for dance or the professional dancers and teachers of tomorrow, the Academy keeps each individual’s goals in mind. Many of our students have gone on to continue their training in dance and related studies at such other highly recognized institutions as Juilliard, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, L’Ecole Superieure De Danse Du Quebec, The National Ballet School, Ryerson University and York University, as well as several international dance companies of world class status. One of our students, Denys Drozdyuk went on to be the 2010 "So You Think You Can Dance Canada's favourite dancer".

The philosophy of the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance has always been to offer the very best in teaching staff and facilities to our students. Our accredited teachers have years of professional experience in teaching recreational students, as well as some of the most prominent professional names in the dance world today. This very impressive group of professionals is made complete with some of the most talented and sought-after pianists in the dance community.

The year end performances at the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance have developed into a very extensive repertoire of classical and contemporary Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical and Acrobatic works. Guest artists from the National Ballet of Canada, and as far away as Russia and Hong Kong have performed along with the students of the Academy. All of these factors have contributed in making the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance one of the highest quality dance schools in the country.
